Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to here all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study here in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
